Hello! My name is Kristen and welcome to Golden Days Dog Services. Since I was a young girl growing up in the mountains of Western North Carolina, I have always had a dog by my side and a menagerie of other pets. Fast forward to today and our family unit includes two fur babies, Ella — a 12-year-old Golden Retriever — and Scout — a 5-year-old Goberian (Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky). We keep the lint roller industry in business!
Since college, I have helped friends and family members with care for their pets, including dog sitting, boarding, walking, etc. I am an avid runner and hiker, and if I am on a trail and see someone with a dog, I feel the need to stop and visit — I truly love the different personalities of pups!
After working for a non-profit and then in ministry for several years, I stepped away to homeschool our two sons. Now that our boys are getting older and more independent, I have more time to pursue my professional goals. In May 2026, I joined Rover, offering drop-in services and dog walking to those in my community. I have met SO many incredible pet owners and dogs through Rover and have built relationships and friendships — I am beyond grateful!
Golden Days is the result of the support of my family, friends, and amazing clients. My goal is to continue to offer the highest quality of services to everyone I serve, canine and human. Positive reinforcement, mental stimulation, and intentional physical exercise are the ethos of Golden Days. Services include dog walking, drop-in visits, doggy daycare (only 1–2 dogs at a time), and occasional boarding. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I look forward to serving you!
